The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County - Michael Kusalaba Library

Becoming a Family Place Library has positively transformed our library into a welcoming space for learning, play, and connection. It has helped us attract new families while giving our existing families even more reasons to play and stay. Our dedicated playspace is well-loved, especially the train table, kitchen set, and puppet theater, which encourage creativity and shared experiences. Most meaningful of all has been seeing the great interactions between children and caregivers as they play and learn together, helping make our library a true hub for family engagement and early learning.
