A family of three attending our Early Childhood Literacy Workshop, children and caregiver were creating dragon or butterfly wings out of cardboard, ribbon, and colorful translucent paper. The wing would later be used for imagination play.
A family of three was attending a special workshop where children were learning about pollinators and through resources lend to our library by Texas Wildlife through their Discovery Trunks.
Families attending our a homeschool handout session where children where learning how to grow their own pumpkins, resources were provided by our city's urban ecologist and our inhouse seed library.

With the help of Family Place, the Pharr Memorial Library provided resources and promoted learning and literacy for thousands of parents and children throughout 2025. The Pharr Memorial Library hosts a wide array of programs for parents/caregivers and their young children: Movin' and Groovin', Little's Art Class, Toddler Time, Little's How Does it Work?, Sensory Time, Early Childhood Workshops, and, of course, our Family Place Signature Programs. We are part of numerous outreach and collaborations. Our Children's Area attracts approximately 1,343 monthly visitors and an average of 20-50 families per day.
