Castlewood Library - Arapahoe Libraries

Adopting the Family Place model has strengthened our libraries and expanded the meaningful, lasting support we provide to families. By prioritizing the well-being of the whole child, our libraries serve as vibrant community hubs for young children, caregivers, and families, offering developmentally appropriate early learning spaces, literacy-focused programming, and knowledgeable staff. Castlewood Library, a small neighborhood location near local elementary schools, attracts families from across the community, whether walking from home or traveling from other areas. Since implementing Family Place components, Castlewood has seen increased family use of the children’s space and higher participation in early childhood programs. Arapahoe Libraries’ vision is a literate, informed, and fulfilled community, and this investment in Family Place ensures our youngest community members are included in that vision..
