Fairbanks Branch Library - Harris County Public Library

The Fairbanks Branch Library Family Place area is a dedicated space designed to welcome families with young children. We provide an enriching environment filled with a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate toys chosen to promote learning and creativity and to encourage play between children and their caregivers. 

Our Family Place area features a fully-stocked play kitchen, toys for dramatic play (dolls, dollhouse, animals, dinosaurs, cars and trucks, etc.), costumes and a mirror for dress-up imaginative play, a variety of building blocks, puzzles, other educational toys, colorful rugs, parenting resource books, and children's books. We also feature a writing center with a child-sized table and chairs that is kept stocked with paper and crayons for drawing and coloring.
