In 2025, our Family Place work continued to strengthen the way we support local families. The parent‑child workshops have grown into a familiar gathering spot where caregivers come to learn, share experiences, and connect with one another. With child care options still limited in our area, the library has become a steady resource that families rely on for early learning support and guidance.
We’ve added new play features and updated our parenting collections to better reflect the needs and interests of the families who visit us. Many caregivers tell us the library feels like one of the few places where they can relax, ask questions, and feel truly welcomed during the early years of raising a child.
Family Place training continues to shape how our staff works with families. It has helped us create meaningful conversations with caregivers, model play‑based learning, and highlight the importance of early literacy and social‑emotional development. The results show up every day in the way families stay, explore, and engage with the library as an essential part of their child’s growth.
