At the heart of Brown County Library’s mission is dedication to families and lifelong learning. By offering free resources and the interactive Family Place Parent Workshop, the Library creates a supportive environment where children can thrive and the adults in their life feel empowered.

Library staff are committed to maintaining a current/best-of-the-best parenting collection, early developmental toys, and interactive spaces, understanding the value that high-quality resources offer residents and library visitors.

The feedback from participating parents and grandparents underscores the importance and impact of the Workshop.  Prevailing comments include a friendly, expert staff, knowledgeable professionals, appreciation for social connection and the excitement of meeting others, the opportunity to focus on their child’s literacy and development, feeling more informed and involved in their child’s life, and the establishment of consistent reading habits.

Community Resource Professionals (CRP) also gave positive feedback and appreciated the opportunity to connect with families through the Workshop. This emphasizes that the Library is a hub for literacy, learning, innovation, and a partner in building community.
