Orange Branch - Cuyahoga County Public Library

In 2025, our patrons have continued to respond positively to the changes that we have implemented as a Family Place Library. Twice in 2025, we offered a workshop called Play, Learn, and Grow that gave parents and other adult caregivers the opportunity to play with their kids in our story time room.  Both a librarian and a community expert were present at each session to respond to caregivers' questions and to model strategies for using play to support each child's development. Our patrons repeatedly shared with us how much they appreciated the program!  They really valued having the opportunity to connect with other caregivers, librarians, and community experts such as speech-language pathologists and parent educators.  Patrons also appreciated our parenting book collection, which features titles on topics ranging from breast feeding to toilet learning.  We really appreciate the support that we have received from Family Place Libraries and look forward to continuing to support caregivers and young children in 2026.
