Koelbel Library children's space with play cafe, age-appropriate toys, and writing table.
Koelbel Library has a beautiful play space filled with early learning opportunities like toys, pretend kitchen and market, and puppet theatre.
One session of the Play & Learn program was during October 31 and families got dressed up in costumes to have fun together.

Adopting the Family Place model has helped our libraries thrive while supporting families in meaningful, lasting ways. By focusing on the well-being of the whole child, our libraries serve as welcoming community hubs for young children, caregivers, and families. Through developmentally appropriate early learning spaces, literacy-focused programming, and knowledgeable staff, we intentionally support early literacy and lifelong learning. Koelbel Library is a destination for families of all ages, offering opportunities for everyone to participate and explore. During a Family Place workshop, an early intervention partner helped refer caregivers to free community services to support the healthy development of their children. Arapahoe Libraries’ vision is a literate, informed, and fulfilled community, and through Family Place, we ensure our youngest members are included in that vision.
