We moved into our new building in April 2022. We have encountered challenges in the set up of our new library due to space restraints. We have changed the layout a few times to best accommodate the families who come into our library. We have on average anywhere from 25-50 families come into our Early Childhood Play area each day. Currently, we have a kitchen set, a diner set, a train set, a light table as well as a Lego table. We have an assortment of transportation toys, manipulatives, music toys and big blocks. We have an outdoor patio that has musical instruments.
Parents especially love the Parent and Toddler Workshop that we host in our Multi-purpose room. They love the fact that they can ask a professional questions pertaining to their child's development.
We are a very active and busy library. The parents are so happy to have a place to bring their children, we are constantly being told that they love coming to the library. We hear many children protest when their caretaker informs them that it is time to leave.
