East Islip Public Library

The East Islip Public Library, located in Suffolk County on the south shore of Long Island, NY, serves a community of over 25,000. Since becoming a Family Place Library we have expanded the early learning and family-based focus of our materials, resources and programs. We have also developed an outdoor community space called the Discovery Backyard which allows children to connect with nature through hands-on experiences that support early learning and an appreciation for the natural world. In addition, families can enjoy our Makerspace area, which contains materials for children ages 3 and up.
