Wantagh Public Library

Being a Family Place Library has allowed us to provide programs that promote early literacy and community engagement. Our screen-free children's room is filled with opportunities for children and caregivers to explore and play together! We have toys available that develop fine and gross motor skills as well as a kitchen, grocery store, ice cream cart and Lego table to encourage imaginative play. We also have a coloring table, and activity tables with magna-tiles, geo boards and a STEM block building kit. We hosted two parent/child workshops in 2024 and were able to connect wonderful, local resource professionals with families in our community. We continue to add new things to our play area and grow to meet our community's ever changing needs.
