The Maple Heights Library is a vibrant asset for the local community, as well as a destination library for families across Northeast Ohio. With a spacious play area featuring comfortable seating near the picture book collection, dramatic play furniture and a soft-space for babies and toddlers, there's ample space for families to explore together. In the Tinker Space, children of all ages are invited to explore STEM concepts with a large magnetic wall and oversized Big Blue Blocks. Another unique feature of the library is a sensory area with a light peg wall feature, a bubble machine, and a lighted sensory marble fixture. Many families refer to the branch as a mini children's museum!
Maple Heights is one of CCPL's 3 Adapted Hubs, offering regular adapted and inclusive programming for all ages, including monthly music therapy sessions in partnership with Connecting for Kids and adapted storytimes led by specially-trained staff.
In addition to weekly storytimes and monthly preschool-focused programs, we offer Parent/Child workshops twice yearly, in the Spring and Fall. These programs are a great introduction to the library and a way for parents with young children to connect with each other and discover important community resources and services.
