Our families are extremely excited that we are fully open again. They missed the Library, and especially the play space, during COVID! We are proud to offer a wide variety of educational toys and materials that are swapped out seasonally to keep things fresh and new. All of the items in our play space support the five basic practices of early literacy--reading, writing, singing, talking, playing! We see and hear children talking to and playing with the puppets, singing to the baby dolls, cooking up recipes in the kitchen, and engineering all sorts of structures with our building blocks. It is both heartwarming and rewarding to witness these play experiences daily. We are a community gathering place where friendships are born and relationships are nurtured. We are much more than just books; we are a place for discovery, exploration, and joyful learning! We offer weekly early literacy classes for birth-preschool age children, and are able to offer monthly classes at off-site locations as well. Our community partnerships have grown and we are always looking forward to meeting people and establishing new ones.
