Watauga Public Library

The Watauga Family Place Library is the center of our small four square mile city. Our Family Place Library provides a place for families to come together and spend time with their children. The Parenting Collection is conveniently located, so parents can browse the collection and keep an eye on their little ones as they play and explore the area. The workshops have been a source of information and joy. Parents learn valuable information, while bonding with their children through play and meeting new friends and contacts. The informal workshop allows parents to ask important questions and address concerns in a non-threatening environment.

During the pandemic the Watauga Public Library was able to assemble 48 Family Place to Go kits for checkout. Each kit was based off a themed of the play areas held during a Family Place workshop such as; music, blocks, kitchen, imagination play and transportation. Each kit has local information in them for parents. The information contains contact information for our local Family Place partners. The Family Place to Go kits are available year round for checkout.
