Blue Ridge Regional Library - Martinsville Main Branch

The Family Fun Zone is the most popular place in the library! The set up of the room has not changed, but I've added some toys and activities that have been VERY popular with the families, particularly the Counting Keys, the Jumbo Buttons, the Melissa and Doug wooden vehicles and the car mat that I scored at the Charity League Bargain Fair. Yeah! I know I've seen a lot of new faces enjoying the room and not just the very young - I've seen older children playing with the baby dolls, or the groceries or the telephones. I even have a toy that the adults won't put down! It's a great place to come if the weather is too cold, or too hot, or just downright nasty. And, on top of all this, I do believe that more patrons are using the materials from the Parent/Teacher Collection, which I promote every opportunity I get!
