Our Family Place Library and Early Childhood Center opened up shortly after Hurricane Harvey. So many of our families lost everything and were living in hotels and temporary housing. We were so happy to be able to provide a refuge and a place of excitement for our youngest patrons as their parents worked to begin to repair their lives. Since the Hurricane, we have continued to be a mainstay for these families and a place for their kids; imaginations to take flight. I love the effort I see every week and the ability for our kids to be kids. I love learning all about what my child knows and seeing him interact in different situations -Misty Perdue, mom of a 2 year old. We take great pride in being a resource for our community in all of their efforts and striving to meet more and more of their needs.
