Eva K. Bowlby Public Library

The Eva K. Bowlby Public Library hosted two Parent/Child Workshop sessions in 2025, partnering with new Community Resource Professionals from the Greene County Family Center and the Early Learning Resource Center. 

The Children’s Department remains a bright and welcoming space for families, with cozy areas designed for reading, playing, and spending time together. Throughout the year, we maintained a steady rotation of creative passive programming ranging from collaborative art projects, such as collecting answers for our seasonal interactive tree, to distributing activity packets from WQED’s Inquire Within program.

The library is also excited to welcome a new Executive Director along with two new staff members in the Children’s Department who are eager to build momentum and increase community engagement through fresh, innovative programming. With a growing calendar of monthly activities, patrons can now enjoy offerings such as STEAM Club, Messy Art sessions, Board Game Cafés for teens, and Lo-Fi Cozy Reading Hours ensuring there is something for every age and interest.
