1st Annual Baby Con at Helen Hall Library

The Mission of Helen Hall Library's Children’s Team is to engage and empower our families through innovative services, creative programs, and inclusive materials. We provide a variety of weekly programs for children and their caregivers from birth to age 11. This includes monthly Saturday programs. Helen Hall Library provides both a play and writing space for little minds to explore and grow. It is also a space where communities members can connect.

Caregivers have access to a growing parenting collection with a variety of current topics. Our early childhood collection is rich with bilingual board board books, picture books, Braille board books, early literacy computers, and VOX read aloud books. League City is an intersection of many cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds, therefore our print material reflects that diversity. Families also have access to our growing collection of Curiosity Kits. Each kit contains 2-3 books and a set a manipulatives for a variety of subjects (STEM, Cognitive, SEL, Literacy, Science and more).

Helen Hall Library is a year-round access point for families who are participating in the free early literacy upWORDS program with our partners at Texas Children's Hospital. We also assist the Galveston County Food Bank with their summer food distribution for ages 2-18.

2025 was our 1st Annual Baby Con. Join us in September 2026 for a morning of free early childhood local resources and information.
