This full-service library, a spacious and beautiful 12,500 square foot building, has served the Warr Acres and west Oklahoma City communities since September 9, 1967. One of the first libraries to be incorporated into the Metropolitan Library System, Warr Acres was built with bonds issued in 1965 and with federal matching funds.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the last year has been filled with virtual programming and take home kits. Our Spring 123! Play with Me at Home! take home kits included 4 fun and engaging activities that focused on dramatic play, art exploration, gross motor skill development, and music exploration. A free book and handouts were also included. These take home kits were intended for children ages 0 - 4 and a caregiver. Kits were made available at participating Family Place libraries in March-May 2021. Our Fall 123! Play with Me at Home! take home kits included 4 fun and engaging activities that focused on dramatic play, art exploration, puzzle creation, and music exploration. A free book and handouts were also included. These take home kits were intended for children ages 0 - 4 and a caregiver. Kits were made available at participating Family Place libraries in November 2021.
