South Euclid-Lyndhurst Library created its playspace with caregivers and children in mind. Our playspace has developmentally-appropriate activities and furniture for little ones, where parents can converse with other families while supervising little ones. The library's playspace, even without toys, still has an interactive playwall, a reading nook, and tables for coloring and writing. During COVID, the library has continued providing activities for families through grab-and-go craft bags, in-person indoor storytime, outdoor storytime, and virtual storytime, as well as passive, on the floor programs for families to do over the course of a month.
Our FPL workshops still take place during COVID in-person, however we provide a socially distanced experience for caregivers and children. The workshops are successful and we always have a waiting list for participants looking to attend the programs! Past graduates of FPL workshops are now frequent visitors of the library and storytimes.
