Lennox Library is located in a small, predominantly Spanish speaking subsection of Los Angeles near the Los Angeles Airport. This neighborhood consists of many families with young children. The Family Place space in particular is well used, the main impact of it being that it has attracted families for recreational, educational, and social purposes. Lennox Library also has many programs for young children and a strong collection of children’s materials (in English and Spanish). In some ways, these services and resources have made the Library a destination for families with young children, which is reflected in our monthly visitor counts.
