Recognized for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED), this neighborhood library is located on Brookline Boulevard among the many local small business, old and new. CLP – Brookline’s bright, welcoming space provides a community anchor for neighbors of all ages. The library’s children’s area, including the early childhood play zone is a valued destination for area caregivers and children. Children can experience a variety of toys and activities and develop essential early learning skills in the areas of dramatic play, blocks and building, transportation toys, music, and infant toys. Children can also explore their senses through a variety of sensory toys. These toys are available to everyone visiting the Library’s children’s spaces, increasing access to high quality and open-ended play experiences while ensuring that children with special needs are not isolated and instead are included in play experiences that serve them to the fullest. Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh provides access to virtual storytime as well. CLP’s Virtual Storytime brings the magic and benefits of storytime straight to your home or device. Join us for stories, songs and action rhymes that develop children’s early literacy skills. For children ages birth to five years and their caregivers.
