Physically, the library and, in particular, The Family Funzone haven't changed much. I did give some toys away through a Toy Adoption I held at the same time as our Santa Gift Box giveaway. All of those toys found loving homes. I did have to throw some toys away - they had been loved too well. But we are basically the same. 2021 was a challenging year for all kinds of reasons, let alone Covid. For part of the year the library was only offering curbside service and for another part of the year I was out recuperating from my broken leg. But one thing I kept hearing was "When is the library going to reopen?" or "When can we come and play/have storytime again?" Our curbside events were so well attended because our patrons missed us so much and when the library finally opened again, we had people cheering. It really has become a central place for people to visit. At my first in-person storytime, the kids cheered because they were back. We had a great time that day and have continued to have so much fun at storytime - I just hope it continues!
