Beaumont Library District's Family Place Library is a unique offering in our community. There are few places in our community that have regular programs for babies to age 5 and their adults, at which young children (and their adults!), can be educated, entertained and inspired. Adults solicit/receive help and information pertaining their young children from providers, the librarian, the Parent Collection, and/or information readily available onsite. Through interactive and engaging storytimes/workshops/programs, children and their adults are exposed to (and utilize) excellent early literacy practices. Children have the opportunity to practice gross and fine motor skills, socialization, problem-solving, and more during the play time. Parents and caregivers have shared that participation in Family Place programs has prepared their children for preschool and/or Kindergarten.
