The Adamstown Area Library is pleased to have had good attendance at our 2017 parent-child workshops. We welcomed families at both evening and morning sessions during our spring series of workshops, and at morning sessions during our fall series. Because we conduct these programs offsite due to space constraints at our small library, we are unable to provide some of the sensory resources, such as water play. However, we are optimistic about plans for our future new library which will include a spacious children's area encompassing all Family Place resources within our own facility. In addition to this, we are developing plans for an outdoor sensory and nature area to be used in conjunction with parent-child workshops and other children's and family programs in our new library. We are happy to note that our community has responded favorably to our Family Place programming.
