Our Family Place Library offers our community a safe space where parents/caregivers of young children are encouraged to learn, explore, and play. Access to developmentally appropriate toys, books, and resources have a significant impact on families.

Bell Library offers a weekly Play & Explore program for babies/toddlers ages 0-24 months and their caregivers. This provides an opportunity for them to interact and engage together while developing skills for the future. The library also offers Smarty Pants Storytime sessions for children ages 2-4 years old that focuses on School Readiness skills. Families can also interact with community resource specialists during Parent/Child workshops which are offered twice a year for 5-week sessions.
<p>The Library has become a community destination for families with children ages birth - 3 years old. Our partnerships with family serving organizations has increased. There has been an increase in the use of library services from previous non-library users. Our Family Place space provides children with age-appropriate toys, such as puppets, kitchen set, play food and plates, building blocks, puzzles and more.<br />
Our Family Place space continues to be a regular destination for children and families in our community. All our toys, board books, and parenting materials are all very popular and well-used.
Live Oak Library’s Family Place is a welcoming area for parents, caregivers and children to spend time together. There are learning materials for parents and toys to help encourage child development. Whether they’re reading to children or having fun with toys, the area is open and welcome to all. It is a place for learning and exploring and promoting child development.

The Acton Agua Dulce Library’s Family Place Area is an inviting and interactive space for families and young children to read, play and learn together. While the children engage with developmentally appropriate materials such as books, toys, puzzles and more, the caregivers are given the opportunity to make their own connections with each other and our library resources. In addition to this family space, the library provides an assortment of programs for caregivers and children such as Baby Toddler Storytime, Smarty Pants Storytime, Sensory Play and Parent-Child Workshops.
