Copperas Cove Public Library

Becoming a Family Place Library is still a work in progress. We held our first PCW October 11-November 8, 2023, Wednesdays, 5-6:15 pm, with the intent of being open to moms who work outside the home. PCW was met with a lot of enthusiasm, but the turn out at our workshops was disappointing. The community partners we worked with were great, and even with the low turnout, they said that they would come back again if they could for our next PCW.

We have seen an increase in the utilization of our early childhood spaces, AKA the Children's Room, since we implemented more early childhood toys. Families are staying longer after our story times to visit while their children play together. Moms are bringing their young children on a regular basis, and getting to better know the library staff.

We are now in the process of planning for our next PCW, which will be held on Mondays, April 22-May 20, 2024, 2-3:15pm.
