Brentwood Public Library

In 2023, Family Place continued to make a significant impact on our library, creating a welcoming space for families and young children.

Our Play & Learn workshop was a popular program, enriching the lives of toddlers and their parents/caregivers and cultivating meaningful connections with community resource professionals. A special bonus of the program was the chance to see the bonds that formed not only between the parents and their children but also between the parents. It was a pleasure to witness parents swapping stories, sharing tips, commiserating, and enjoying the journey of parenting together.

Our space remained a sought-after haven for families looking to connect and play. The addition of a play kitchen turned out to be a hit, becoming a popular extension to our play area. This was the first year since the outset of the pandemic that our daily visitors to the children's area returned to pre-pandemic levels.

We value the privilege of playing a role in the lives of families with young children in Brentwood.
