East Library - Pikes Peak Library District

Family Place has had a wonderful impact on East Library’s services to families. Our parenting collection is increasingly popular, the toys are well loved, and the access to community resource professionals has changed the lives of our patrons. Friendships have bloomed from playgroup series, and we often see connections that extend beyond our walls.  

We have partnered with many local and state-wide organizations, including the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB). This partnership is inclusive of the Deaf community in Colorado Springs. CSDB has also providing an ASL/English/Spanish interpreter at no cost to the library. The playgroups offer a culturally diverse space where children and adults have met a variety of community resource professionals, connected with the community, and built friendships!
