
Family Place Libraries has entered into an exciting partnership with the National Center for Learning
Disabilities revolving around their (GRTR!) initiative. is an early literacy program designed to help parents, early educators, and child care
professionals ensure that young children are equipped with the fundamental skills necessary for learning
to read.
Booklists to accompany the Get Ready to Read! Activity Cards
The Middle Country Public Library Children's Services Department has created these bibliographies to go
with the Get Ready to Read! activity cards. There are three books listed for each card.
They are perfect for suggestions to parents or to include in programs that may focus on particular
activities. There is a list for the emergent writing activities,
print knowledge activities,
and linguistic awareness activities.
